Indigenous tribe preserves history and legacy using AI

Project goal A lot of their history is in cursive form. This needs to be in written word form in order for the private GPT engine to be able to process and access it. Conversion of cursive documents can be done one of two ways: using cursive OCR (optical character recognition) or by reading aloud what has been written into the voice recorder app on a smartphone. The latter is the better option since OCR can be inaccurate and the software to do so can be expensive. Plus, the time to scan and process these documents can also be time-consuming with manual and tedious human effort.

Problem addressed:

The information is being consolidated into a single silo. This silo has multiple benefits the tribe including being able to use natural language to find artifacts in their extensive history. Information retrieved can continue to help tribal members to share their tribal history from a single source of truth.
